Frederick Alonso returns to Piston with his full debut release titled Overdose Dub EP. This one follows his superb remix from Jakhira's Heartbreak at the start of 2018. The personal data sheet of Frederick Alonso is a bunch unfinished projects, collaborations, labels and worldwide venues. He mostly remains the quiescent gentleman behind the scenes. Meeting him without knowing his remarkable stages would rather draw a wrong picture of a guy who rarely points out what he reached so far. Frederick's Booze album reached the second place in the International Techno chart for two full weeks in the USA. Besides being ART manager on his company Webismore and running his own imprints on Stab Recordings he has a broad ranged output taking course parallel to his full time multitasking business. He has released amazing tracks on several labels over the years and we're delighted to have him here at Piston.

Overdose Dub opens with a deep pulsing bassline and thumping kick drum delivering a true deep house experience. Subtle percussions create a smooth rhythm while crunching stabs lurk in the background. The big hitter here though is the mesmerizing synth work, fading in and out invading the senses. What a track this is, perfect fodder for the peak time slot.

Get Down wastes no time in getting right down to business as a nice punchy kick drum sits over a rumbling bass. Bright crispy hi hats cut through the low frequencies as an upfront in-your-face stab presents itself. The groove is taken deeper with sublime chord pads, weaving through the sound effortlessly. Cool vocals add a nice club touch making this an absolute must have.

001 gets down and dirty with a solid house groove featuring excellent keys and cool vocal snippets. The rhythm is delivered with a tight drum section, powered by a thumping kick drum and super crispy hi hats. A deep probing bassline dominates the low end as those groovy keys get the booty shakin'. A proper dancefloor slice that will keep the party rocking no doubt.
