A musical force melding talents from a country steeped in the creative arts, Nocturna combines the flair of two Italian producers of significant repute. Widely recognised by some of the fines modern underground imprints and supported by the DJ glitterati Andrea Cassino and Danny Lloyd now join forces to produce the next instalment of the highly successful "Compiled and Mixed" series for Proton.

A two-hour excursion into some of the finest music within the 800-strong Proton label roster, Cassino and Lloyd, via their Nocturna pseudonym, chart a star-laden path into the realms of deep, melodic territory that sparkles and dances in rhythmic iridescence.

Part 1 sees the smooth sounds of qoob open proceedings while progressive rising stars, Robert R. Hardy and Simos Tagias nestle elegantly alongside established stars. The beautiful bass line that sees Matter remix Biologik in impressive fashion is paralleled by Navid Mehr's stunning "Violet" reinterpretation of Tvardovsky. Danny Lloyd makes an appearance with "We Are Here" as BCSA's Nicholas Van Orton and Namatjira close out with a wonderful whispering vocal performance.

Legends Derek Howell and Silinder make their presence felt in Part 2 with the Irishman providing a stellar groove-oriented remix of the Texan's masterpiece. Argentinean artists Ezequiel Arias and Mike Griego hit the heights with two original works and Lloyd and Cassino feature both through Andrea's remix of their joint offering, "Viajando en REM". The Nocturna remix of Dousk's iconic "Look Good Tonight" begins to close out a groove-filled Part 2, as Cassino once again demonstrates his remixing talent with Luis Bondio and Antrim's "Hope on the Moon".

Revelling in the deep, dark atmospheres of underground dance music finest exponents, Nocturna have shone a bright light on the Compiled and Mixed series.
