All the while Beto was impressing people on the dance floor he was quietly laboring in the studio, finding his own sound. "No Social Culture" is his first actual release so it was only natural that he teamed up with production duo Whatever / Whatever (Justin Strauss and Bryan Mette) to bring this slow disco groover to its optimum place. Throw in remixes by fellow New Yorkers' Willie Burns (WT Records) and Eddie Mars along with Milwaukee's Richard Richard (Plant Music) and you find yourself with a beautiful, unique and stylish 12".
The 12" is being released as limited edition vinyl-only white label on a new imprint, DHP, that will subsequently get a release on Plant Music in its digital form.
For the record, Justin Strauss was a resident DJ at the Mudd Club, The Ritz, Area, Tunnel, Limelight and many more and has remixed artists ranging from Depeche Mode to Luther Vandross to 808 State & Beyonce. He was signed to Island Records in 1974 with his band Milk n' Cookies. Serious props.
