Dear Deer Records keep up their high quality release schedule with a new EP from Dario Dea. The Italian has ten years experience in the game and his sound is deeply rooted in jazz, blues and rock. He has residencies at key clubs in the middle east and also has a mesmeric live show using synths and guitars. His studio sound is just as innovative and here he kicks off the EP with Miserere, a magically melodic number with keys ripping over the top. It's awash with real emotion and will get clubs locked into its groove and keep them there. Momentum then gets deep, with thoughtful bass strokes and gently swaying drums suspending you in space. It's an atmospheric track that really makes an impact. Acclaimed German Florian Kruse then remixes this one into something dark and shadowy, with moody bass and spooky vibes pervading throughout. After an epic breakdown things roll once more and take you ever further into the groove. Last of all, Simon Doty flips Misere into a synapse firing affair with sharp hits, driving drums and edgy melodies that keep you in suspense. Once again this is another standout EP from the agenda setting Dear Deer Records.
