After a brief hiatus since ADM020, AdMaiora Music finally strikes back with another chapter of our Various Artists series. It's been 9 months since 'Maiora Vol. 4' was released, and it's now time for volume 5. As always, our purpose is to dive between the best of house & techno and here we present brilliant six works from the likes of Andre Butano, Mike Vale, Marco Effe and more.
We welcome back Marco Effe on the label with a pure-class techno roller called 'Shapeshade'. Having previously released 'Basewax EP' on the label a while ago, Marco is back at full power with another 909 stomping tune - once again proving his skills as bigroom techno head.
Then comes Chilean veteran André Butano (Cadenza, Robsoul) with 'The Rush', which features the lush vocals of Marcela Thais. This one is a sexy tech house groovy jam with a serious analog filthy bassline, some splashes of modular bleeps and detailed textures.
Collective Machine's (Knee Deep In Sound, 8Bit) 'Holahoop' it's surprisingly fresh with jazzy-inspired rhythmic sections, soft rides and deep chords, all together for the perfect opening tool.
Slovenian tech-house master Mike Vale (Relief, Toolroom) debuts on the label with an high-octane tune called 'That's It', which takes the title from the main vocal sample. This one is a pure madness club destroyer with heavy kicks and punchy groove elements, surrounded by pitched synths in the main breakdown.
Label bosses Rini Shkembi (NONSTOP, D-Floor) and Gezim Vrioni (Snatch!, D-Floor) are in charge of closing the EP with two tracks: first is Rini's deep and melodic stripped back house tool 'It's Dangerous' and lastly comes Gezim's techno-oriented 'I Leave You' featuring newcomer Angi.
