  • Label Dekmantel
In the run up to 2015's Dekmantel Festival, Patta and Dekmantel have released a capsule collection and four compilation EPs represented by the best of the Dutch music scene to date. Released last summer as a limited edition vinyl set and clothing collection, the music is now also available in digital format. Dekmantel x Patta sees four EPs bringing together formative Dutch sounds including Young Marco, Fatima Yamaha, Mark du Mosch, Aardvarck, Awanto3, Robert Bergman, Interstellar Funk, Deniro and Makam. Weighs a ton and looks incredible, but be warned, the rust does spread so don't sleep! First up is the synthesizer cool from Young Marco and Bas Bron, the mastermind behind Dutch cult act De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, aka Fatima Yamaha. EP II brings you the illustrious trio of Awanto3, Mark du Mosch and Robert Bergman, while Tom Trago and Deniro impress with timeless slow burning house en techno funk on the third. Makam, Aardvarck and Interstellar Funk close the deal with some unexpected twists and turns. Amsterdam's respected Dekmantel crew has been putting out quality records since 2009. Their international roster includes Israel's Juju & Jordash spiritual jazz modes and velvet-clad basslines, the dark, shadowy and deep techno of New Jersey's Joey Anderson and the pad-driven jams, off kilter drums and hazy synth house by Palms Trax, to name a few. Dekmantel won the minds and hearts of electronic music enthusiasts all over the world with their record label and club nights over the past years. Dekmantel Festival "which saw its first edition in 2013" has seen unanimously glowing reviews for three years in a row now, further affirming the path Dekmantel chose to be the right one....
