In the beginning of 2019 Chrom Recordings launched the Chromologic Sampler Series. For this 2nd Sampler we selected 5 complementary tracks from Pedro Mercado & Karada, Hafenkande, Phil Monday, Dr Double U and Tone. After numerous huge releases & remixes on big labels (Parquet, Kling Klong, Particles, Beatfreak, Natura Viva, Dear Deer,...) and several Beatport top 100 spots, our first duo needs no further introduction: our label manager Pedro Mercado teams up again with his loyal studio partner Karada. Together they form the musical heartbeat of Chrom Recordings and with Dali they deliver us a true melodic masterpiece!Next up is Dominic Lehmann aka Hafenkande from Hamburg. Hafenkande is a DJ, producer & promotor from Hamburg. He is the founder of the platform "Katz & Kauz"' which hosts regular parties at well known clubs in Hamburg such as Waagenbau, Prinzenbar, Bahnhof Pauli and Fundbureau. His sound is situated in the the melodic category of Techno, with bass-heavy beats that go into the hearts of the audience, as you can hear in his track Darkness which also contains a great dark haunting vocal and a very catchy tribal goove.Filip Van de Werf aka Phil Monday is from the same region in Belgium as our label manager Pedro Mercado. He played in some of Belgium's most known clubs such as Pulse Factory, The Kings Club, Caf d'Anvers, Decadance, Culture Club, Balmoral, Kompass,... As a producer he released already on some nice belgian labels such as Am Strand & Klangwerk. Phil Monday has a wide taste in electronic music, going from deep house to melodic techno, from tech-house to progressive. His track Ceci is a real progressive house beauty. Also Wiebe Roose aka Dr Double U is from the same region in Belgium as Pedro Mercado. They played a few times together in the legendary Caf d'Anvers Club in Antwerp, before Dr Double U relocated to The Capital Of Techno Berlin. There he is now resident-DJ in Ava Club and at the Symbiotikka parties in the famous Kit Kat Club, where he is hammering most of our Chrom releases. His sets are a psychedelic and unique mix of deep melodic techno, with trippy groovy vocals, added with multicultural elements. With his track Collab he shows us his deeper melodic emotional side. And finally we present you Toon De Geyter aka Tone, also from Belgium. Our label manager Pedro Mercado and Tone got to know each other back in the days when Tone was working as vinyl buyersupplier in Music Man in Ghent, the most famous record store in Belgium. In 2011, Tone won the biggest Belgian DJ-contest, hosted by I Love Techno and Carl Craig. Recently he relocated to Bali, his new home base now for his gigs all around Asia. He delivers us Loosing my way, a stunning mesmerizing deep house track.
