For our 16th Chrom EP we return to The Capital Of Techno: Berlin! We are very proud to present you the new EP from Techno Frhstck, rising stars from Berlin, teaming up with their Berlin companion Modest Crow, for 2 fantastic melodic originals Again & Packed Bag, completed with great remixes from Kelvin Lucas and Pedro Mercado & Karada.Techno Frhstck is the artist name of Berlin duo Daniel Breyer & Felix Reiter. The streets of Berlin offered the perfect environment to blow away the trials of Daniel's studies in theoretical quantum physics. One of these weekends, he discovered a smooth but incredibly fearless beat that made him shudder to his bones. It was the sound of Felix's mobile soundsystem reverbating through the endless compounds of the city. In this very moment, as the sun peeked its way out from behind the buildings, Daniel and Felix realized that they had to combine their musical forces. They were hungry. The night was over. They had to eat. And so the fairy tale of Techno Frhstck - The Techno Breakfast began.Modest Crow is Asaf Herrmann, born in Haifa, Israel, where he grew up playing guitar and drums. After years of living in a Commune, he was reminded of the symbiotic relationship that different mammals and birds share, like a flock of crows. Ever since then the crow has been his source of inspiration. The word crow in Hebrew means guardian which refers to the mutual responsibility that crows share among each other. At the age of 22, after his first Techno party inTel Aviv, feat. Boris Brejcha, Modest Crow felt something amazing. The experience left a strong impact on him, curiosity to produce electronic music. Tel Aviv looked like the answer but, it was only a temporary stop before landing in Berlin, The Mecca of Techno.. Nowadays Techno Frhstck and Modest Crow are fixed residents in the Berlin scene with regular gigs in known clubs as Sisyphos, Ritter Butzke, :about blank, Birgit & Bier, Burg Schnabel,... As producers they released already together on quality labels like Motek, Twin Town, Aftertech,... and now on Chrom. The remix of the title track Again comes from Kelvin Lucas, an electronic music producer DJ from Spain, origin of Cuba, who now resides in Paris, France. You should know Kelvin from his releases on Natura Viva, Bunny Tiger Dubs & WHATIPLAY, the label from Sascha Braemer, and from his own young label Lost on You who is causing a real stir lately with some huge releases. Kelvin takes a more techno approach here with his remix adding some extra power to the original.Last but not least there is also a remix of the second track Packed Bag by our own label manager Pedro Mercado who teams up here with his loyal studio partner from Belgium, Karada. They deliver again a really nice progressive house interpretation, in the same style of their Beatport TOP100 Remix for Particles earlier this year.
