Whitney Tai is a singer, songwriter, artist and designer from New York City. In January 2014, Tai released “To Be Loved,” and a remix by Adrian Buster shortly after. The song held Hot Shot of the week on two FM stations in the country of Holland. In April 2015, Whitney released her debut Dream Pop album, “Metamorphosis,” with Billboard chart topping composer, Tim Janssens. In 2016 she released the EP, Forever, produced by Billboard producer Spencer Garn and engineered by Morgan Ray Garcia of Upstairs Recordings (Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson). The track featured percussion by Grammy nominated drummer, Mike Phillips. Indie Band Guru raves, “Tai is known for her alternative dream pop music, but looking at her past, is there anything this musician can’t do?,” referring to Tai as a “Musical Chameleon.”In November of 2016, Whitney Tai and Sunfreakz released Electro Pop single, “Truth Be Told.” The release included a remix from Swedish producer, LA Rush. I Am The Industry notes, "Tai’s grind is unmatched and she continues to demonstrate her talent and consistency as an artist." In Summer of 2017, Tai released "How Was I Supposed to Know" filmed in the surreal edges of the European landscape. In September of 2017, Tai released what Interrobang calls "the most visually stimulating video of summer" for the collaboration entitled, “Shockwave” with Sunfreakz. Some of Tai's other eclectic Indie Pop releases that dropped in 2017 were, "Grow" and "Good at Being Bad."
