Leandro Antelo was born in Donostia – San Sebastian in the Spring of 1986 he was introduced to music at a very tender age. He started piano lessons aged seven and later added drums and various percussion instruments to his repertoire. He first started experimenting with mixing at the young age of 16 even though being a DJ or producer was an unknown entity in his native country. As a result of his dedication and devotion towards this genre of music he decided to take this further and as a result has resided in various places such as: Madrid, Brighton, Ibiza and Paris. It was in Madrid where he was first able to acquire his music production knowledge base by completing a sound engineering course. The move to the UK was even more rewarding as he realised with hard work and determination the opportunities within dance music were immense and this is where he performed his first international gig. It was during these years that he was able to build up a following in his own city with gigs in pubs and bars and then moving to the bigger venues such as: Bataplan and La Rotonda and where in the latter he held a weekly residency. He also became involved in important events in his home town, Donostia – San Sebastian’s bid to become the European Capital of Culture in 2016. During this period he combined his progress on daily show “World of House” on Loca FM(now Loca Fun Radio) and Maxima FM both national reaching radio stations. He later added Enjoy FM to his list of radio shows. The logical next step was to head to the famous island dedicated to dance music Ibiza. He spent the majority of 2011 on the island and was able to play at the famous venue “Ushuaia” where Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Bob Sinclar and Avicii to name a few hold residencies. At the end of the season on Ibiza he headed to the ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) the most important European conference for EDM (Electronic Dance Music) and where he was able to attract the attention of various managers. Miami followed in March 2012 for the WMC (Winter Music Conference) and where he was able to play two show cases for Global Mixx Radio which is based in New York. Attending the WMC has led to new collaborations with international artists. In Spring 2012 he moved to Paris as he had built up contacts from previous years in order to pursue new projects but is currently back in his home town working away in the studio on projects for various labels. 2013 its time to take off, the payback of his work.
