With over 17 years of DJexperience Evan has learned that a set should be full ofsurprises and, above all, FUN. Under the alias: Line Stepper,Evan has recently been playing and producing Funk and Nudisco.With his ever popular Poolside Mixes, and his longrunningFunk Night in Managua he is currently being hailedas the funk king of Nicaragua by the industry and fans alike.Coming from a musical family in the northern suburbs ofDetroit, Evan Rhodes picked up a guitar at the early age of11. From there he learned the keys, and soon after,discovered the art of DJing. At the age of 16, Evan wasintroduced to the world of electonic music throughunderground warehouse parties in Detroit. It was theseparties where Evan developed his passion for electronicmusic and a true appreciation for the underground scene.Evan landed his first residency in 1998 at the Velvet Lounge,where he shared the decks with such world renownedgreats as Terrance Parker and DJ Godfather. It was herethat he polished his skills as a DJ and learned what it meantto be in control of a crowd. Since then, his skills havebrought him everywhere from Chicago, to New York, Toronto,Portland, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Brooklyn showingpeople what the energy of a Detroit-bred artist is all about.As well as making a name for himself in the undergroundhouse music scene, Evan has recently been producingDancehall and Reggae with electronic flavor in Nicaraguaalong with teaching music production to under privilegedyouth. Under the guise of The Run Dun Crew, along withNicaraguan songsters Kali Boom and Papa Bantam, he justcompleted a full length album titled Money Tough.Evan's production work landed him a write-up in Billboardmagazine and a nomination for a Detroit Music Award. Hisoriginal music as well as numerous remixes are currentlybeing played by the biggest names in house music includingMark Farina, Jason Hodges, DJ Mes, Hector Moralez, andChuck Daniels to name a few. Keep an eye on this selftaughtmulti-instrumentalist. With his recent top-of-the-chartssuccess he is poised to take the electronic music world bystorm.
